Lorlee Clark will teach on delicious and nutritious lunch/dinner ideas for kids such as Wally Whale-Wiches and Crazy Caterpillars! Also, great ideas for birthday parties & sports celebrations for t-ball, soccer, etc!

Whoever brings the most donations and highest dollar amount of donations for the auction wins prizes.

If you want to advertise your business at the Twice As Nice Sale that they can bring their $20 payment and business-card sized coupon ad to the meeting and give to Karen or contact advertising@ndmotc.org for more info.

Other Typical Meeting Activities

Dinner:  the refreshments committee serves a delicious dinner at every meeting at 6:30 pm.

Expectant and new Moms meet for questions and answers with Moms who have "been there" and an occasional speaker.  Moms of toddlers can meet for Toddler Talk where the topic of conversation is kids from 1 - 2 years of age.  Any Mom can visit these groups or meet in the main area during Social Hour to catch up with old friends and make some new ones!   

Community Outreach:  collects items to meet the needs of those less fortunate in the community.  Baby items (food, formula, diapers) and children's items (small toys, undergarments, socks) are always welcome.  We also have collections designed to help our own members in need of help.

Vendor showcase:  Club members and friends of NDMOTC are available at each meeting to showcase their great products and services.  For information on becoming a featured vendor or to sign up to be a vendor for an upcoming meeting, contact programs@ndmotc.org.

Post Meeting Gathering:  After the meeting, join fellow members for eats and drinks at an establishment to be announced during the meeting.  Be sure to invite those around you to join you for the fun!

Past Programs

September 2008:  Dawn Hallman from the Dallas Association of Parent Education will host a Q&A on child development.  

October 2008:  Lauren Jordan, a personal coach and psychotherapist will speak to us about relationships and sexual issues. Visit www.boostyourlowlibido.com for more information.

November 2008:  Tonia Tomlin, an author, professional organizer, and mother of identical twins will speak with us about organizing strategies for multiples.

December 2008:  December's program is full of holiday fun!  Our feature is  Jennifer Luney, former owner of Young Chef's Academy of Carrollton.  She will give a cooking demonstration and will speak with us about how to involve kids in the process.  We will also have a cookie exchange, holiday crafts, and a holiday traditions show-and-tell. 

January 2009:  Game Night!

February 2009: Sexy Mom Makeover; women's health and wellness

March 2009:  "It's Summer...Now What?!"  Our featured speaker is Kim Bannister, co-author of Little Dallas.  Her book provides a wealth of information on resources for new moms as well as fun and entertaing things to do with children of all ages.  We will also have area summer camp vendors providing information on their programs.

May 2009:  Auction

June 2009:  Gratitude dinner honoring those people in our lives we are very grateful for. 

July 2009:  Children's Health and Wellness Panel - A panel of experts held a Q & A session to provide information on issues such as potty training, health issues, discipline, and more. 

August 2009:  Installation Dinner celebrated incoming and outgoing board members

September 2009:  Bonnie from North Dallas Martial Arts presented the Safer Kids program. 

October 2009 – Ashley Parks will spoke about financial planning.

November 2009 - Polly Harrison from Momsoutloud.com discussed multiple intelligences and appropriate outings in the DFW area.

December 2009 - Dessert contest and fundraiser, Game Night

January 2010 - Are you raising a praise junkie?  Our speaker for the evening will be Toni Borowczak.  She will tell us if we are raising praise junkies, and what to do if we are. 

February 2010 - Harriet Kelly spoke about personal transformation for women.
